Contract Type: Fixed-term maternity cover – full time Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities
As part of our close-knit teaching team, you will:
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, guardians and colleagues
- Encourage children to take pride in their work and grow in confidence
- Support pupils to reach their potential — whether they need extra help or to stretch their capabilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons with clear structure, pace, and challenge
- Use assessments to guide your teaching and help children progress
- Work closely with support staff to make the most of classroom time
- Lead a subject area and share updates with SLT and governors
- Keep learning yourself — through CPD, collaboration, and reflection
- Someone who Brings energy, empathy, and professionalism to the classroom
- Has high expectations for all learners and adapts teaching to meet their needs
- Uses a range of teaching strategies to spark curiosity and build independence
- Communicates clearly and works well with others
- Is confident using assessment to inform planning and feedback
- Is happy to contribute to school life, staff meetings, and parent partnerships
This role follows the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and is subject to:
- Requires Qualified Teaching Status
- Teaching experience within KS1 and/or KS2
- School policies and curriculum guidelines
- Confident in the use of MS Office applications
- Able to present to key teaching staff and management
- To respect diversity across religious faiths and beliefs
- National legislation and local employment agreements
- The children’s workforce common core skills and knowledge
