Overview

A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a highly capable Sales Order & Demand Planner to join its established and collaborative supply chain function. This permanent, full-time opportunity is based in Buckinghamshire and offers a hybrid working arrangement, a competitive salary of up to £40,000, and an attractive benefits package.

Reporting to the senior management team, the successful candidate will assume a critical role in managing the allocation and fulfilment of global sales orders aligning with purchase order delivery with close communication with internal stakeholders across Customer Service, Business Development, Manufacturing, and Project Management to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and the timely delivery of products to international markets. This is a varied administration role which requires extensive knowledge of ERP systems, experience with sales and supply chain analytics supported by previous demand and forecast planning expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the allocation and scheduling of global sales orders in alignment with production plans and SLA commitments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient and timely order fulfilment
  • Monitor inventory levels and material availability to support production continuity
  • Utilise Oracle, Excel, and Outlook to manage capacity planning and order processing activities
  • Serve as a key liaison with international clients, ensuring clear and professional communication
  • Analyse demand forecasts and market trends to enhance supply chain responsiveness and efficiency
  • Support the accuracy and integrity of purchase order management and MRP system data
Candidate Profile
  • Ideally educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent); further qualifications in supply chain or operations management advantageous
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional levels of administration gained in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, materials management, and production scheduling
  • Proficient in Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated experience in global stakeholder communication and capacity planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, resilient, and detail-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and purchase order processes
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to manage high-volume, high-value order portfolios
